Tips for this kind of estimate
- Charge for the trip; it is the line customers accept most readily when it is visible.
- For customer-supplied parts, note that warranty covers labor only.
- Keep a minimum job charge and apply it when the lines add up to less.
Questions
Can I use this for an invoice?
Use it for the estimate, then copy the lines into your invoice; the layout is the same. Turning an accepted estimate into an invoice inside the app is coming next.
Should I add tax to labor?
That depends on your state. The template applies the tax rate you enter to the whole subtotal; set it to zero and add tax on parts manually if your state taxes materials only.
