What makes an estimate hold up
Quantities with units, not lump sums. Materials separated from labor so a price change is visible. Markup and tax as their own rows. A scope paragraph in plain language, an exclusions list, a validity date and a signature line. Every template here has all of that; the trade-specific part is the sample lines and the sections that matter for the work, such as roofing squares and tear-off, fence gates and rock clauses, or the vehicle block and authorization an auto shop needs.
When the document becomes a habit, the estimating software keeps the client list and item library so the next estimate starts from the last one.
