What a polished garage floor looks like on your slab
Polishing works the concrete you already have, so the result depends on it. Old stains, patches and cracks stay visible; a slab with oil soaked in will polish around the stain, not remove it. Crack repair on the 400 sq ft example adds about $96, and the filled lines will still show.
Higher sheen means more passes with finer pads. Satin reads as clean and even; high gloss reflects light like tile, and also shows scratches sooner in a working garage.
